Processing of personal data in connection with the fundraising campaign:
We process your personal data (name, address, email, bank details) exclusively for the purpose of processing your donation
and issuing a donation receipt. The legal basis for this is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR (performance of a contract),
Art. 5 para. 1 lit. c (compliance with a legal obligation), and Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR (consent).
You may withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future.
SEPA Direct Debit:
Your bank details (IBAN, BIC, account holder, bank) will be forwarded to our domestic bank for the purpose of
processing your SEPA Direct Debit. The data is transmitted in encrypted form and stored in compliance with data
protection regulations.
Donations via the PayPal donation button:
In this case, personal data will be forwarded to the online payment service provider PayPal (PayPal (Europe)
S.à r.l. et Cie, S.C.A., 22-24 Boulevard Royale, L-2449 Luxembourg),
which acts as an independent data controller.
Please refer to PayPal's privacy policy for further information.
Data retention period:
Where necessary, we process and store your personal data only for the duration of the application,
implementation, and completion of the fundraising campaign. In addition, there are statutory retention
obligations, so data will be stored for the duration of such obligations, e.g., up to 10 years according
to the German Fiscal Code (AO), and only deleted thereafter.
Your rights:
You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability,
and the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority.
